MobiWallet

Jton MobiWallet enables a mobile phone to be used as a wallet for ticketing, payment card, Key or ID, etc. NTT Docomo named it ¡§mobile wallet¡¨ with the slogan ¡§all the things you keep in your wallet¡¨. This vision is depicted in the graphic shown below,

A hypothetical usage scenario is like the follows,

Imagine a scenario where Eric Lee is leaving his house in the morning to head to work, grabbing his mobile phone as he heads out the door. Eric starts down the street, calling the office to check messages, and ducks into the local coffee shop. While still on his voice call, Eric pays for his morning latte by waving his phone over the contactless point of service reader at the counter. The funds are deducted from the e-Purse stored on his MobiWallet card in his mobile phone. Moments later, Eric receives a text message indicating a low balance on his e-purse in MobiWallet and reminding him to replenish his account. Eric searches the menu on his phone and, directly from his handset, checks the balance in his bank account and transfers funds to replenish his e-Purse. He also quickly checks the MRT train schedule and his stock portfolio from his handset¡¦s menu.

Reaching the MRT train station, Eric waves his phone by the turnstile, identifying the station that he¡¦s entered and confirming the presence of the e-Ticket stored in his MobiWallet. Eric receives another text message with the morning news headlines. He activates the interesting ones and the contents of the articles appear on his screen. A few stops later, Eric exits the MRT station and again passes his mobile phone by the turnstile. This time, the e-Ticket fare for the MRT train ride he just took is automatically deducted from e-Purse in his MobiWallet and an update message is sent to MRT¡¦s database to calculate his monthly ridership credits.

Arriving at the office, Eric waves his phone near the reader on the door, his e-Key stored in MobiWallet is transmitted to company server for ID verification. When it is checked out OK, company server release the lock and allow his entry. At his desk, Eric places his phone on the reader next to his PC, which initiates his secure computer login using e-Key again. When Eric leaves, he removes his phone, automatically locking his computer and allowing him to continue through his day, conducting business, making payments, and receiving secure access via his mobile at every step of the way.¡¨
